Dàimh Christmas Concert

Gaelic supergroup Dàimh will bring seasonal cheer to Woodend Barn on Friday 7 December with a special performance featuring songs and tunes connected with Christmas, New Year and Midwinter in both Gaelic and English.

The acclaimed group, who fuse together music from across the Celtic diaspora, have twice been nominated for Scottish Folk Band Of The Year at the Scots Trad Music Awards. They will be joined by guest singers Steve Byrne, of top folk group Malinky, and Margaret Stewart, one of Gaeldom’s finest traditional singers. The musicians will also perform seasonal selections from the celebrated collection of Gaelic poetry and prayer, Carmina Gadelica, marking the one hundredth anniversary of its author, Alexander Carmichael.

Tickets are available online at www.woodendbarn.co.uk or by phoning the box office on 01330 825431.
