Two comedy luminaries with very different laughter-making skills are heading to Aberdeen as part of major UK tours next year – even if one is a secret.
Master of Camp Julian Clary is bringing his new show, Position Vacant, Apply Within, to the city’s Music Hall on Wednesday October 24 - the first Scottish venue on his 43-date tour.
But before then, rising comedy star Andrew Lawrence - star of BBC 1’s Live at the Apollo – takes his The Best Kept Secret in Comedy Tour to The Lemon Tree Lounge on Tuesday, April 17.
Tickets for both shows will be available to the general public online at www.boxofficeaberdeen.com, by phone at 01224 641122 and at Aberdeen Box Office at the Music Hall and His Majesty’s Theatre
One of the country’s most recognisable entertainers, during his 25 years in showbusiness Julian has turned his hand to comedy, acting, presenting, writing and even performing as a novice dancer on the BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing, where he reached the final.
By contrast, Andrew Lawrence is in the early stages of his comedy career and has already been described by one national critic as the defining stand-up comic of his generation.
