POLAR EXPLORERS

Holiday Club at Bervie Sports Centre was a great success this week, with between 131 and 144 children attending each day. About 50 adults and 30 teenagers helped lead the programme all week, which included songs, games, drama, crafts and aerobics in an action-packed morning. With the help of ‘Sir Random Finds’ and ‘Bare Feet’, the children and leaders went on a ‘Polar Expedition’ each day and learnt about a person from the book of Acts in the Bible. Through the lives of these people, they learnt that no-one is too ANYTHING to be part of God’s big expedition, that is, to be a friend of Jesus and go out and help other people be friends of Jesus too.

Photographed was the whole team.

Girl Guiding needs you!

Our units in Inverbervie, Johnshaven and St Cyrus are looking for adult volunteers to help with unit meetings. The Inverbervie Brownie unit will be sadly loosing a leader after the summer and we need volunteers to come forward to help the unit on a Monday night.

Volunteers don’t have to become leaders to help out and you don’t have to come each week to meetings but may want to help out once or twice a month.

You may have a skill that may help us out, perhaps you are good at admin or keeping finances?

If you are interested in helping out then please go to www.girlguiding.org.uk to find out more and register your interest.
