Graduates from 360 Group

FIVE Mearns Academy students have graduated from the 360 programme and received certificates last week.

They were: Lauren Lampen, Nadia Francis-Lowe, Fraser Sangster, Liam Patterson and Kevin Campbell.

During the programme, they have been supervised by Natalie Cooper, Community Learning Worker and Lou Hearty, Behaviour Support Teacher.

The 360 alternative to exclusion/curriculum programme is run in partnership between community learning and development and Mearns Academy, for those pupils identifed as finding some aspects of mainstream education challenging.

Aims and objectives of the programme include improved self belief and confidence, raising of self esteem, improved communication skills, an increase in core skills and to improve motivation and attendance at school.

The five students are pictured with rector Ian Parkin, Natalie Cooper and Lou Hearty.
