As part of their Adventure Service Challenge, the pupils of P4-7 at Fettercairn School have been doing something to help the global community.

They designed eco-friendly canvas bags and sold sixty of them at an open afternoon back in April.

A total of £91 was raised, £85 of which will purchase two goats and two vet packs through Oxfam for a nomadic community in Africa.

Remarkably, the £6 left over will pay for 100 school dinners for African children.

The children are pictured with one of their bags and community worker Natalie Cooper who assisted them.
