FETTERCAIRN Primary is the first school in the Laurencekirk Network to adopt a whole school approach to toothbrushing.

The pupils in the nursery have been involved in brushing their teeth at school for a number of years.

Lilliann Aitken (Assistant Health Improvement Officer) with the support of Jennifer Garnes (Head Teacher) decided to pilot the whole school toothbrushing initiative.

Susan McWilliam (NHS Grampian) supported the school by supplying toothpaste and tooth brushes and offering guidance to staff and children.

The children are pictured, with nursery kiddies playing the roles of dentist, dental nurse and patient.
