Residents of Kincardinshire who will share their 90th birthday this year with the Queen are invited to take part in a special celebration.
The Lord Lieutenant of Kincardinshire, Carol Kinghorn, is inviting those from the area who were born in 1926 to attend an afternoon tea party to celebrate the Queen’s birthday. A date for the party has yet to be set but the Queen’s birthday is on Thursday, April 21.
Mrs Kinghorn said: “We are all so proud of the Queen and her long service to the country, with so many milestones along the way.
“We thought it would be a lovely idea to mark the 90th birthday by inviting others who will also celebrate their special birthday this year.
“We are not sure how many will qualify, but I look forward to welcoming those who will be able to attend.”
Those who wish to attend should contact Gordon Ritchie’s office at Connons, 50 Allardice Street, Stonehaven or call 01569 762971.
