Appeal after house broken into in Netherley

Grampian Police are appealing for witnesses after a home was broken into on the B979 Netherley Road, near Stonehaven.

It was targeted between 8.30am and 7.30pm on Thursday (6 December) and several electrical and personal items were stolen, valued at a low four figure sum.

PC Kevin McGhee, of the Stonehaven Local Policing Team, said: “We have seen an increase in this type of incident in the lead up to Christmas in the past and I would urge property owners and residents to be vigilant about securing their properties and keeping valuables safe and out of sight within their homes.”

Grampian Police would like to hear from anyone who saw any people or vehicles acting suspiciously in the area around the time.

Anyone with information should contact Grampian Police on 0845 600 5 700, or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 to remain anonymous.
