Benholm in Bloom’ took place over the weekend in Benholm Kirk in the hamlet of Benholm near Johnshaven.
The flower festival featuring the months of the year set in flowers celebrated the Queen’s Jubilee and even received a supportive letter from Buckingham Palace.
The floral displays were created by talented local floral artists from Stonehaven, Inverbervie, Johnshaven, St Cyrus, Montrose and Laurencekirk.
The festival was very well attended and finished with a showcase of local talent in the form of song, music and words from local performers. All proceeds from the event will go to support the upkeep of the historic building which is now in the care of the Scottish Redundant Church’s Trust. Benholm Kirk is free to enter and open to all daily.
