Members of the public were given an early opportunity to view the plans for a proposed business park development at the former Fordoun Aerodrome last week.
Property consultants Knight Frank, acting on behalf of landowner Murray Mitchell, showcased the plans at Auchenblae Village Hall on Thursday, from 2pm until 7pm.
Proposals for the new business park, which covers an area of about six hectares, outline the inclusion of industrial units, storage space and small office buildings.
The exhibition was part of the pre-application public consultation being carried out prior to the submission of a planning application to Aberdeenshire Council.
Gary Purves, planner for Knight Frank, said: “There was a steady flow of people coming to view the plans throughout the day and most people seemed to be fairly welcoming of proposals that will bring jobs and investment to the local area. “The character of the area is already semi-industrial and the development of this site can be seen as a natural evolution of the former aerodrome.”
The plans will now be refined before being submitted to Aberdeenshire Council for consideration later this year.
