Mearns Camers Club restarts for the 2011-2012 session on Monday (September 5) at 7.30 pm. The Mearns Camera Club is based in the Community Education Centre in Stonehaven and meets every Monday evening from September until April at 7.30pm.
Organised for sessions througout the year is an exciting mixture of presentations from expert photographers, competitions, coaching sessions, workshops, a treasure hunt, and occasionally excursions for some practical, hands-on photography.
A highlight this year will be a talk on November 14 by renowned landscape photographer Ian Cameron as part of the ‘Great British Photographers’ series.
The first session on Monday, in addition to being a welcome night, has an assignment to get us back into the swing of things.
The assignment is ‘The Street’. Images can be uploaded to the website or brought along on the evening on a pen drive. Prints can also be brought along on the evening.
Mearns CC is a friendly local Camera Club and new members are always very welcome. Why not come along and see what we do. An exhibitiion of members’ work will also be staged in Stonehaven Library from September 1-30.
