Charity fashion show

Ladies of the Mearns gathered at the Glen Esk Hotel in Edzell for a night of top fashion courtesy of Elizabeth Havens of Laurencekirk.

The event, in aid of the Iris Cancer Partnership, saw the Glen Esk transformed into a scene fresh from London Fashion Week as volunteer models confidently strutted their stuff down the catwalk in the latest fashions for Spring/Summer 2011.

The event raised £1,163 for the Iris Cancer Partnership Charity – a multi-disciplinary team consisting of patients, oncologists, specialist cancer nurses, massage schools, research, NHS policy, hospices and a cancer support centre.

The aim of the partnership is to design and implement an oncology massage curriculum in Scotland and to provide oncology massage therapies to people with personal experience of cancer.

The 2011 Spring/Summer Collection is now available at Elizabeth Havens, 17 High Street, Laurnecekirk. Present this article for an exclusive 5% discount.
