Sunday saw The Great IFB Stonehaven Bike Ride take place in glorious sunshine and 122 cyclists took up the challenge of cycling for charity.
In doing so, they have already pledged over £3,200 for the blind and deaf communities of the North-east. This total was helped by generous sponsorship from Internet for business (IFB).
The sponsored bike ride has raised thousands over the years for Grampian Society for the Blind. The charity changed its operational name in March to better reflect its new Sensory Service which now sees it providing services to Deaf and Hard of Hearing people as well as continuing to assist Blind and Partially Sighted ones.
Neil Skene the event organiser said: “We had a beautiful day for the event and we are delighted with both the turn out and the total pledged. Also this year, we had some support from local companies MacPhie of Glenbervie, Stronachs and the Spectacle Company and this is one area of the event we would like to see grow.”
