A North-east cancer support charity has confirmed plans for a special commemorative event to thank those who have been involved over the last 30 years.
CLAN Cancer Support is to hold a thank you event on Friday, October 4, which will bring employees, therapists, counsellors and volunteers together to help celebrate the charity’s 30th anniversary.
The event will give attendees the chance to look back on how CLAN has grown since 1983, as well as an opportunity to find out about some of the charity’s plans for the future.
Chief executive Debbie Thomson said: “Since CLAN was established in 1983, we’ve been indebted to so many wonderful volunteers, counsellors, therapists and employees and without their help, the charity wouldn’t be where it is today.
“The fact that CLAN now operates across the whole of North-east Scotland, Moray, Orkney and Shetland is testimony to the hard work and effort that so many people have given to the charity over the years and we’d like to say a big thank you for this.
The charity has scheduled a year-long programme of fundraising and awareness events to mark its 30th anniversary.
Those who wish to attend are asked to register their interest before tomorrow (Friday), email firstname.lastname@example.org.
