Kincardine and Mearns Councillors were told this week that the issue of dog fouling is set to be discussed at an upcoming meeting of the Infrastructure Services Committee.
The committee will look at options for getting more dog wardens who can give out fixed penalty notices, but the main focus is expected to be on a range of preventative measures.
North Kincardine Councillor Carl Nelson said: “I have been getting reports of a lot of dog fouling in Muchalls, it is becoming quite a problem. I’m sure it’s the same in other villages.
“A lot of the ‘no dogd allowed’ signs carry no weight and something should be done to make them more enforceable.
