Children at Portlethen Primary School were gazing and learning about the stars last Friday when a mobile planetarium came to visit.

The planetarium, courtesy of TechFest, showed the children all about the solar system and stars which some of the classes have already been learning about.

The giant cosmic dome was situated in the hall so every class would be able to visit throughout the day last Friday.

Each class was given a 45 minute presentation inside the cosmic dome in darkness so they could see the wonders of the solar system.

Showing the children all about the system was Christine Macmillan from TechFest.
