Community groups don’t have long left to apply for funding as the Meikle Carewe Wind Farm Community fund closes next Tuesday, September 30.
The Fund was opened for applications from community groups in July.
Applications to the fund can be made from groups and projects which benefit the communities.
Applications cover the community council areas of Crathes, Drumoak and Durris; Newtonhill, Muchalls & Cammachmore; North Kincardine Rural; Portlethen and District; Stonehaven & District.
RES, the energy company who developed the Meikle Carewe Wind Farm, has established the Community Fund which will see £21,012.50 per year available to support local community projects during the lifetime of the wind farm.
A panel made up of representatives from the community council areas along with a representative from RES and Kincardine & Mearns Area Partnership (KMAP) will then meet in December to consider applications.
Application forms and guidelines can be downloaded from www.kmap.org.uk, by emailing email@example.com, telephoning the KMAP office on 01569 763246 or writing to KMAP, 3rd Floor, 42-46 Barclay Street, Stonehaven, AB39 2AX.
