Breast screening

A mobile breast screening unit will be returning to Inverbervie next week.

The facility will be at Inverbervie Burgh Hall car park from Tuesday 8 January until 8 February.

Women registered with the Inverbervie Medical Group and Auchenblae Medical Centre between the ages of 50 and 70 will be invited to attend.

The aim of the programme is to detect breast changed at an early stage when treatment has the best chance of success.

Women invited for the first time will be strongly encouraged to attend but anyone who has been screened previously or missed an appointment previously will also be able to go along and be checked.

Older women are not being sent an invitation but are encouraged to make their own appointment by contacting the screening centre on 01224 550570.
