A volunteer from Stonehaven’s Horizon group has spoken of her frustration, after a planter in the town’s Market Square was tipped over on three occasions in the space of four weeks.

Kath Boyne, who gives up her own time as part of the Horizon group to make the town a brighter place, was dismayed to find that one of the large planters in the square had been pushed over several times - once on a Friday night and twice on a Saturday night.

Kath said: “I managed to right them with help from my husband and son, but they are very heavy. It must have taken some effort to push them over.”

The police have been informed, and Kath appealed to anyone who has information to contact her on (01569) 762856.
