A petition calling for the popular Stonehaven Land Train to be able to use the Bervie Braes road on its route gathered more than 100 signatures within a few hours of being launched this week.
The tourist attraction has had to use another route because of restrictions in place on the Braes.
The petition was launched by Stuart Munn who said that signatures were continuing to rise.
Isabel Munn, project coordinator for STP, said on the petition: “The land train is an asset to Stonehaven and this year, even on a shortened season, has had many passengers - both local and tourists.
“It would be wonderful if the tourists could see the fantastic view of Stonehaven coming down Bervie Braes.”
Others who have signed the petition agree that the Braes would provide the best views of Stonehaven and would enhance the land train experience.
James Davidson, who also signed the petition, said: “The land train has been a tremendous success - please put the icing on the cake.”
Rhonda Howie added: “It is the most scenic route back into Stonehaven.”
