Land Train carriage to be named by pupils

Stonehaven Town Partnership are running a competition with all of the Primary Schools in Stonehaven; Arduthie, Carronhill, Dunnottar and Mill O’ Forest to name both the Land Train Carriages.

The winner’s class will get a trip on the train and their name on a sign on the carriage with the carriage’s name.

The Economic Impact Assessment showing the benefit of the Land Train to Stonehaven has been received and is available on the STP website www.stpweb.org. This shows the income that the Land Train has bought into Stonehaven and the additional jobs this project has created.

STP are expecting to take delivery of the additional carriage which has been funded by the Coastal Communities Fund, in March in time for Easter.

There are still opportunities for storytellers on the Land train this year, sign up if you are aged over 16 with an interest in the town and meeting people from all over the world.

There are also a few places left for local companies to advertise on the train.

If you are interested please contact projects@stpweb.org. Information will be posted on the Land Train Facebook Page.
