Stonehaven and District Lions Club is gearing up to hold its annual senior citizens concert in April at Stonehaven Town Hall.

The free concert has been running for more than 20 years and organised by the Lions Club which was formed in 1979.

Craig Bunyan from the club got in touch with the Mearns Leader this week with information on the event.

He said: “If you are a senior citizen of Stonehaven or the fistrict why not blow the winter weather away by attending the Annual Senior Citizens concert organised and run by the Stonehaven and District Lions Club.

“It takes place on April 21 at 7.30pm in the town hall and tickets are once again free for the senior citizens.

“A range of music and dance will be on offer and a cake and a cup of tea, or maybe something a bit stronger, will be on hand to loosen those vocal cords and get those feet tapping.”

Free tickets can be collected from Stonehaven Library on Evan Street on Saturday April 16 from 11am till 1pm.

The Lions are keen to see a full house for the concert and will be operating a courtesy transport service for anyone who may have difficulty getting to and from the town hall.

If you require transport to the concert please call 01569 763687.
