A Toast to Burns

Waiting for Video...

Portlethen Primary School had a rare time last Friday as some of the classes held an excellent Burns Supper.

The classes honoured the bard in a tradition manner by piping in the haggis, reciting of poetry and learning about table etiquette in advance.

Primary five teacher, Fiona Lindsay, told the Mearns Leader: “The children worked extremely hard to plan, organise and then participate in the Burns Supper. “It was the first time that many of the class had tasted haggis and clootie dumpling.
