Appreciation shown to police

Residents who had attended Stonehaven and District Community Council’s meeting to discuss flooding in the town took the time to thank the police for their efforts on December 23.

During discussion of police matters, one member of the public took the chance to thank the officer who was giving the report.

He said: “I was very impressed with the way the police dealt with the flood and wish to thank you for being very caring and very professional.’’

APPLAUSE

This was met with applause from others in attendance as they showed their appreciation for the efforts of the police on the night.

Acting-Inspector, Richard Taylor, who had also attended the meeting to introduce himself, said he was ‘‘very proud’’ of the police reaction to the incident.

He added: “Thank you very much for your kind words.”
