Charity call for mobile phones

A north-east cancer support charity is on the lookout for used mobile phones in an effort to raise much-needed funds.

CLAN Cancer Support - which has a presence in Stonehaven - is appealing to anyone who may have received a new mobile phone over the festive period to donate their old handset with a view for it to be recycled to raise money for the charity.

Susan Crighton, fundraising manager, said: “We would greatly appreciate the donation of any old mobile handsets, no matter what model, age or condition as the money raised from the recycling will aid us in continuing to provide our services and support throughout Scotland.”

Handsets can be donated in person at CLAN Cancer Support, 8 Robert Street, Stonehaven, as well as any of their shop outlets and centres throughout north east Scotland, Orkney and Shetland.

CLAN Cancer Support is an independent charity which provides comfort support and information, free of charge, for anyone, of any age, affected by any type of cancer.
