The proposal includes residential properties, community facilities, primary school, retail units and petrol filling station as well as details of access routes, infrastructure and landscaping.

The company has submitted a formal application notice to Aberdeenshire Council.

The public exhibition was held from 1 – 4.30pm and 6 -8pm.

Prior to the Leader going to press on Wednesday, Marianne McGowan, of Stewart Milne Homes, said the company was now in the process of compiling site design principles

She added: “We have been looking forward to discussing our draft proposals with the community, and welcome constructive feedback.

“Having carried out a thorough analysis of the site and surrounding area, we are now developing design principles which will integrate the development with the existing community and surrounding area.”
