Haven Harmonies

Stonehaven choir “Haven Harmonies” had a great turnout for their first meeting of 2013 last week, but the gender divide was somewhat unbalanced.

In the two years that the choir has been running the bass section has only ever numbered two. While the men do a sterling job with the low notes, the choir could really benefit from a few more male members to bolster their part.

Haven Harmonies are a community choir, open to people of all ages who enjoy singing.

ENTHUSIASM

There are no auditions to join the group, just pop along to the Upper Town Hall on Friday at 6.45pm with a bit of enthusiasm and you’ll fit right in.

Local music tutor Nigel King – who took over as Choir Master in September, and went on to lead a very successful Christmas concert at the start of December- has chosen a film theme for the next concert which will be held in the Spring.

If any men are interested in joining the group please pop along.
