Logan Atkinson (8) of Stonehaven, along with his dad Stuart, climbed Ben Nevis in aid of the charity Cystic Fibrosis.

Logan’s Uncle Derek, who passed away aged only 26 in 2001, was born with this condition.

The Leader and Observer reported at the start of June how Logan wanted to raise some money for the charity so that a cure might be found for this disease some day.

Logan completed the climb along with his dad and dog, Maya, raising £800 through sponsorship.

Two years ago, Logan and Stuart successfully climbed Lochnagar for the same charity.
