At our meeting on Monday, February 10, we welcomed Jo Goldsworthy who demonstrated flower arranging.

Jo produced four fabulous arrangements which were then raffled to the members.

Mrs Christian Milne, president, welcomed members and friends to our February meeting.

After business she introduced Margaret Murie, a retired nurse, who had worked for a number of years in the Laurencekirk health centre.

Margaret gave an entertaining and informative talk on health issues, the aim to improve people’s health where they live, learn, work and play, focusing on and encouraging healthy eating and physical activity, reducing salt, sugar and harmful fats in our food, all ages working together for the benefit of all. It was an enjoyable and helpful meeting.

Helen Ritchie was hostess and proposed the vote of thanks.

Maryculter

Members were welcomed by the president, Audrey Lowson, to the meeting on February 12.

Linda Milne of The Little Cake Room talked of her cake business and demonstrated some lovely unusual ways to decorate cakes. Linda judged the monthly competition - a decorated cupcake - 1 Sylvia Pike, 2 Kathleen Paterson, 3 (equal)Joan Thomas and Christine Middleton; flower of the month - 1 Pat Dunn, 2 Elizabeth Pratt, 3 Kathleen Paterson.
