Successful Bulb Show

DESPITE a fall in entries, the Luthermuir Spring Bulb Show, held in the village hall on Sunday was still considered a success.

The show's three major trophies were won by Bella Davidson (most points), Derek Ritchie (best exhibit) and Audrey White (floral art).

Results: Red hyacinths: 1 B. Davidson.

White hyacinths: 1 B. Greig, 2 B. Davidson, 3 H. Stewart.

Pink hyacinths: 1 H. Massie, 2 and 3 H. Stewart.

Blue hyacinths: 1 B. Davidson, 2 H. Stewart.

Hyacinth in water: 1 H. Massie, 2 H. Stewart, 3 B. Davidson.

Yellow daffodils: 1 D. Ritchie, 2 B. Davidson.

Miniature daffodils: 1 D. Ritchie, 2 H. Stewart, 3 B. Davidson.

Miniature bulbs, excluding daffs: 1 D. Ritchie, 2 H. Stewart.

Crocuses: 1 and 3 Hall and Park entries, 2 D. Ritchie.

Flowering pot plant: 1 H & P, 2 H. Massie, 3 I. Ritchie.

Foliage pot plant: 1 M. Innes, 2 I. Ritchie, 3 S. Innes.

Floral art: 1 A. White, 2 S. Cartwright, 3 M. Finnie.

Amaryllis: 1 and 2 E. Leslie.
