Mearns Camera Club held their annual Awards and Social evening at the Conservative Club in Stonehaven on Monday April 27 2015. After a splendid buffet meal, and much socialising, the awards for the year were presented by club president Nial Weston This year’s winners were as follows:-

J. Stuart Cardno Shield (Photographer of the Year; for best overall combined score in the monthly competitions) Brian Doyle

Beginner of the Year Trophy (Best designated beginner of the Year; for best overall combined score in the monthly competitions) Peter Walker

Mearns Camera Club meet every Monday 7.30-9.30pm in the Community Centre on Bath Street, Stonehaven between September and April, and get together regularly during other months. Everyone is most welcome.

Members share skills and ideas and participate in internal and external competitions in order to inspire and improve photographic skills. They cover a wide range of experience and formats, from beginner to experienced, film to digital, and colour to black and white.
