However, it is showing signs of age, and a campaign is under way to try and raise the £45,000 needed to purchase a fully accessible minibus. The existing one is currently used by Laurencekirk Lunch Club, Laurencekirk Pensioners, St Cyrus WRI, the local schools, Laurencekirk Out of School Club, Fettercairn Church, Laurencekirk Church, Social Services, Laurencekirk & District Rotary Club, amongst many others.
The loss of the use of the minibus would impinge on the lives of many individuals in the Mearns area.
