On Sunday 10 January 2016, the fire stations in Laurencekirk and Inverbervie were used as a “drop off” points to allow members of the public in the villages to donate items towards the flood hit communities.

Watch Manager Tom Fleming commented “We are amazed with the reaction from the public in both communities to the appeal and pleased that so many people made a positive contribution to the appeal. This shows an appreciation of what’s happened elsewhere and that community spirit and togetherness to those affected by the floods”.
