The North East Scotland mobile breast screening units return to Inverbervie and Laurencekirk in the early part of 2013.
One unit will be sited at Inverbervie Burgh Hall car park from Tuesday, January 8 till February 8.
A second will be based at the Laurencekirk Medical Centre, Blackiemuir Road with screening due to begin on or around February 4, for approximately six weeks.
Women between the ages of 50 and 70 registered with the Inverbervie Medical Group, Auchenblae Medical Centre and Laurencekirk Medical Groups will be invited to attend. Older women are not sent an invitation, but are encouraged to make their own appointment by contacting the screening centre on 01224 550570.
The aim of the programme is to detect breast changes at an early stage when treatment has the best chance of success.
Women invited for the first time are strongly encouraged to attend but it is also important for anyone screened before or who missed an appointment in the last three years to take up the offer.
