Watch out for some funny business on Friday March 19 and Saturday March 20 at 7.30pm at Inglis Hall, Edzell when Edzell Drama Group stage two short plays as their spring production.

As our picture shows, actors Rosemary Spence (left) and Maureen McIntosh point up the Unwelcoming sign for visitors in the comic scene they play in “Molly’s Trolly” one-act play written and directed by Brechin-born playwright Sheena Weitzel of Edzell Woods.

Sheena’s play won good reviews when it premiered at Falkirk some years ago and Sheena has tweaked the script for Edzell’s production. It’s set in a jail so Edzell’s players are rehearsing hard to do justice to Sheena’s witty lines, having previously performed her specially written pantomime last November. Tickets go on sale soon at Edzell Spar, Post Office and No 63 High Street.
