Scotland’s biggest open studio event begins this weekend, with 1000 artists, crafters, makers and creators sharing their work and their methods for a whole week across the north-east of Scotland.
Beginning on Saturday September 10 and running right through to September 18, visitors can pop into painters studios, art galleries, potteries and school gyms to see artists at work, buy original art or just have a peek at the huge range of creative talent across Aberdeenshire.
Emma Pattullo, who runs the Platform 22 gallery in Torphins is also Chair of NEOS:
“It’s a great week to explore the wonderful artwork that’s produced right here in the north-east of Scotland, and maybe pick up some great additions to your house or even some presents. With a record membership this year, covering individual artists, groups and galleries, that means we’ve got a huge range of different art-forms on show, so there really should be something for everyone.”
For the last month, catalogues have been available throughout the region, with information on each artist and gallery taking part. Full details can also be found online at www.northeastopenstudios.co.uk
