THE beloved pet of a Stonehaven resident who was killed in a car accident last January has had to be put down.
Jennifer Chalmers was killed in January last year when a car hit the moped she was travelling on in Stonehaven. Jennifer was well known in the community, she worked for the charity DAWGS and was always out and about with her beloved black Labrador Pepper.
Since her owners death, Pepper, has been cared for by three of Jennifer’s close friends and family.
Jennifer’s best friend Sandra Andrew, who helped to take care of Pepper, wanted to let the community know that on December 23, Pepper was put to sleep due to old age. She would have been 14 in March.
Sandra explained how the community loved Pepper, saying that she couldn’t go anywhere without being asked how Pepper was.
