On December 17-19, pupils from Portlethen Academy entertained family, friends and staff with their production of ‘Peter Pan’.

The enthusiasm and commitment of more than one hundred pupils involved was outstanding. Audiences were treated to an exceptionally high standard of performance with hilarious jokes, talented singers, energetic choreography, superb special effects and unique outfits created by the senior costume design class. Due to popular demand an extra performance was added. Two of the nights were completely sold out and people had to be turned away at the door. People from throughout the community were thoroughly entertained, including the Portlethen Rainbows who joined in the fun and even danced on stage with the cast for the finale. As well as raising money for the school funds, a portion of the proceeds will be donated to a charity, decided upon by the senior pupils who will be leaving school this session.
