An exhibition showcasing plans to build a new school and supermarket for Stonehaven and the surrounding area will be held next week.
The plans are part of proposals to create a neighbourhood centre at Braehead which will feature a 4200 sqm supermarket.
A new primary school site, as well as rugby pitches and recreational facilities are also being mooted.
In addition, plans are also being put forward to extend the existing Mearns Business Park in order to meet the growing demand for employment land.
The exhibition will be held at the Stonehaven Leisure Centre on Friday, November 22, from noon until 8pm.
Visitors will be able to comment on the plans at the exhibition or by visiting the development website www.braeheadandmearnspark.co.uk.
Harry McNab, planning director for developers Bancon, said: “We believe these are attractive proposals that could deliver real benefits for Stonehaven and the surrounding area.”
