A site visit will be carried out to help the Kincardine and Mearns Area committee to decide on an application for 153 new homes in Portlethen.
The application by developer Stewart Milne, is part of a larger development in Portlethen.
However this phase of the development has been met by over ninety objections including one from the Community Council.
The main objection to the plan is the position of the houses in relation to Portlethen golf club.
The houses come very close to the fourth hole, and this has sparked a number of objections from the Golf Club and it’s members.
One of the concerns over the positioning, was the damage which rogue golf balls could cause to property and residents. To combat this, a six meter high boundary fence has been incorporated into the plans.
The Cmmittee decided that a site visit is necessary to give them a better idea of the positioning of the site in relation to the Golf Course.
