A Stonehaven couple have pulled on their dancing shoes for the seventh year in their fundraising drive for cancer charity, Friends of ANCHOR.
Willie and Joan Singer have organised the latest charity dance to take place at the Station Hotel this Saturday, November 2, from 7pm until late. The event will see a host of games and generously donated raffle items. Tickets (£7) are selling fast and the couple hope that this year will bring their total raised to over £8000.
Willie said: “We would like to thank all the local individuals and businesses who generously support the event each year and ultimately help us to raise funds for such a worthwhile cause.”
Friends of ANCHOR was set up 16 years ago to help support the ANCHOR Unit and local cancer research projects undertaken. The charity is committed to ensuring that every cancer patient attending the ANCHOR Unit receives the best possible care, treatment and support during and after their diagnosis.
Importantly, every penny raised goes directly to the cause as all the running and administration costs are fully covered by support from Balmoral Group.
Friends of ANCHOR PR & fundraising manager, Sarah-Jane Hogg, said: “We are so grateful to Willie and Joan for their continued support over the years and I have no doubt that this year they will reach their milestone fundraising target.”
