Marykirk Raft Race Committee will be holding a race night in the Marykirk Village Hall on Saturday, April 4,

from 8pm.

The doors will be open from 7 and there will be music playing both before and after the races.

Kerri Duncan, from Marykirk Raft Race, said: “This time it’s a little bit different, as this time it’s cockroaches.

It is guaranteed to be a good night which families can enjoy together.

“It will be free entry and there will be eight races which you can bet on to make it a fun-filled evening.

‘‘We will have MSG Events there on the evening, doing the bar, and half of the proceeds made from this will be going into the charity pot, which is distributed after the Race Event in May.”

Marykirk Raft Race Committee would also like to remind their supporters that the raft race packs are now available for the race on Sunday, May 17.

These are available from The Marykirk Hotel and the Mearns Hardware Store in Laurencekirk.
