Re-homing charity DAWGS is appealing for help to find a new home for a nine years-old Border x Collie called Rocky.

The charity, based in Aberdeen finds loving new homes throughout the North East for dogs whose owners, perhaps due to illness, frailty or a change in family circumstances can no longer take care of them. The charity match dogs to new owners, do home checks and follow up checks to ensure every “tail” has a happy ending!

Rocky has been on the charity’s books for more than a month now but so far they haven’t been able to find the right match.

DAWGS chairman Ian Paterson said: “Rocky has a friendly, affectionate nature, is fit and active for his age, and loves his walks, or playing ball in his garden. He is good off the lead and friendly towards other dogs.

“Rocky loves company so we are looking for a home where someone will be around all day and that he would be the only pet. We know Rocky will make the perfect companion for someone - we just have to find them.”

Anyone interested in Rocky, or who needs help to find a new home for their dog should contact the charity on 01224 208989, email info@dawgs.co.uk or visit the website www.dawgs.co.uk.
