An all-weather sports and recreation facility is quickly becoming a reality. Organisers have short-listed possible sites but no decision has yet been made as to the final location.
S&DCC leader, Mike Innes, said: “Although the main purpose is for an outdoor all-weather sport playing area where many sports could be played, the facility is for community use and those involved in dance, drama, zumba and the like could benefit from the facilities provided in the pavilion. The views of such groups are welcome as we have an opportunity to provide up-to-date facilities for them but they need to get involved in the consultation.”
A questionnaire is available which would give the project leaders a feel for what facilities were wanted. Organisations are encouraged to complete this and can be downloaded from the www.stonehaventownpartnership.org and the closing date is 5pm 16th December.
