Five Stonehaven girls who attend the Gillian Bitta School of Dance are due to make a trip of a lifetime to take part in a Highland Dancing event at Disneyland Paris.

They will make the journey on November 19 and stay for four days which promise to be packed full of excitement and enjoyment as they dance their way along the main street in the Disneyland resort. The dance they will be performing on the main street was choreographed by the world famous master of Highland Dancing Billy Forsyth.

The girls were required to audition for their place, which they all passed with flying colours.

While there, they will also take part in a competition where they face opposition from dancers from around the globe.

They have also been practising a choreographed dance which is done to a Disney-themed song, where some of the Disney characters will also come up on stage to join them.

Everyone, including their families, is very much looking forward to the trip.

Thanks must go to Stonehaven’s “Club 65” who donated money to put towards the girls’ costumes for their choreography dance. A special thank you must also go to Gillian’s mum, Liz MacRae who spent time and effort in making the girls’ costumes. Her work has been invaluable and is very much appreciated by everyone.
