The Stonehaven Fatherland Burns Club’s highly popular annual supper is to be held on next Wednesday, January 22, at the stunning art-deco Carron Restaurant.
Principal guest this year will be Margaret Hearne, a popular local speaker, who will deliver the “Immortal Memory,” followed by contributions from weel-kent folk such as Gordon Bradley, John and Carol Medlock and Russell Adams.
With a recitation from club members Gwynne Stewart and Jane Sanders, and entertainment provided by singers Jean and Peter Webster, the evening certainly promises to uphold the high standards and witty content of previous years.
A few tickets are still available and can be had from Russell Adams, club treasurer at 01569 763524 or email@example.com. More information about this historic local club can be found on the club’s website at www.burnsfatherland.co.uk”.
