Stonehaven Town Partnership have said that their completed questionnaires from the PLAN B event at the end of August has shown significant support.
The event, which focused on the area between the River Cowie and the Queen Elizabeth II Caravan Site, sought to engage the community in a discussion about a long-term vision for Stonehaven aiming to ensure a vibrant future for the town.
Following the Plan B exhibition, and public meeting on August 27, when passionate residents packed the Town Hall; nearly half of those attending provided written feedback, whilst others who were unable to be there, also completed a questionnaire and sent it to STP. Feedback was also received through social media.
STP have said: “The completed questionnaires show over 70% of residents in favour of better facilities, which would include new and improved leisure, recreation and retail opportunities. STP will continue to support the community by examining the potential opportunities.
“STP will be keeping people up to date with progress towards meeting these aspirations, through the media and on the STP website. Further comments are welcome by email: firstname.lastname@example.org.”
