As most of us make plans to celebrate the festive season, this Christmas, many children will sadly spend Christmas Day in hospital. The North East local charity, The Archie Foundation, supports many of these sick children and their families by providing free parent accommodation and small gifts to see them through the hardship, as well as brighten up their Christmas Day
This year, as a small gesture, the Kirktown Garden Centre and Restaurant in Stonehaven have arranged for the Archie Foundation Giving Tree to be displayed in the garden centre. The Giving Tree is adorned with Archie foundation gift tags. Each gift tag represents an amount of money that prospective donors can donate with an explanation of how their gift will be used. The garden centre has also donated a Christmas tree to the foundation to be turned into a Giving Tree at another location in Aberdeenshire. If you would like to donate to the Archie Foundation’s Christmas Giving Tree, then you can do so by visiting the garden centre. Your donations are much appreciated.
