The Sacrament Master Singers from California will be joining the Stonehaven Chorus for a performance next week.

The two choirs will join forces to put on show at St James’ Church in Stonehaven on Sunday June 21.

Around 35 singers from the Sacramento Master Singers will be here to perform a special ‘Midsummer Music’ concert as part of their Scotland tour.

The concert will be free entrance with a retiring collection in aid of charity.

The US choir will perform contemporary and folk music from the USA and the British Isles.

The Stonehaven Chorus will also have the chance to perform before the choirs unite under the same baton to sing together.

The Sacramento Master Singers - conducted by Dr Ralph Hughes since 1986 - will also perform in St Giles’ Cathedral, Edinburgh as well as partake in a masterclass with renowned composer James MacMillan in Glasgow as part of their tour.
