Aberdeen-based multimedia and video specialist Viscom has offered a helping hand to a local dance school by producing two memento DVDs capturing the annual performance of their young and talented dancers.

The Lindsay School of Dancing asked for support in producing videos of their bi-annual student shows in Stonehaven and Laurencekirk during March, and the Viscom team was delighted to get involved and provide the necessary equipment and expertise.

Viscom recorded and edited the performances, and produced 200 printed DVDs for distribution to the parents and families of the dancers who participated.

The show — entitled ‘Rockin’ the Elements’ — featured Highland dancing blended with tap and modern within a theme embracing earth, water, air and fire.

Viscom General Manager Bruce Milne said: “We thoroughly enjoyed producing the DVD for the school to capture the very talented young dancers performing at their annual shows. Their enthusiasm and commitment made it a pleasure to be involved.”

Roger Barnett who assisted with the show’s organisation said: “Any excess funds that were raised by putting on the shows and the sales of the DVDs will be given to local charities, so we’re really grateful to the Viscom team for so generously donating their time and expertise.”
